Tuesday Night Laughs Brooklyn Concert reviews
Love Gaffy. But......
I attended Tuesday Night Laughs live at the Adler Theatre for the first time 2 years ago and absolutely loved it enough to go again. Floor seats at IWireless pose an issue for taller and heavier individuals like myself at 5'9" and 160 pounds. It was uncomfortable being squished in like enchiladas in a casserole alongside ample to generously sized people. Fortunately, we were seated near a couple who wore very pleasant cologne, which helped mask the less pleasant scents. I don't plan on attending another IWireless event. The opening by Mr. Alexander was spot on and got me in my happy place for Gaffy, who unfortunately didn't live up to expectations. His material felt stale, and I found myself laughing more at his Facebook clips. I understand he's been through a tough time with his wife in the past year, and I admire his support for her. Perhaps he just needs a break to recharge his creativity. I still love Gaffy and am willing to give him another chance. I will definitely pay to see Mr. Alexander if he performs nearby.
